Winter Vacation in Rajasthan Schools 2025–26: Dec 25 to Jan 10

13 October 2025 - Posted in Holidays by

As per the latest Shivira Panchang 2025–26, the much-awaited winter vacation for schools across Rajasthan will begin on 25th December 2025 and continue till 5th January 2026. For children, this break brings not just a pause from school routines but a time to rest, bond with family, and celebrate the joy of the winter season!

Winter Vacation Extended As we all remember from the last academic session (2024–25), Bharatpur and other districts of Rajasthan experienced an intense cold wave. The District Collector had to extend the winter vacation first from 7th to 9th January, and later again till 14th January 2025, due to extreme weather conditions and safety concerns for children. IMD has already forecasted colder and wetter winter across India this year due to La Nina. Northern India is already feeling a pre-Diwali winter vibe. This year as well, the winter vacation has been extended till 10th Jan 2026 due to intense cold waves by most district collectors across Rajasthan district. How Open Fields School Students Can Enjoy Their Winter Break

At Open Fields School, we believe vacations are not just for rest but also for meaningful experiences and family bonding. Here are some ideas for our students to make the most of their winter holidays:

  1. Cozy Reading Time: Curl up with your favourite storybook or picture book. Reading helps children explore new worlds while staying warm indoors.
  2. Family Fun Activities: Help parents in decorating the house, baking cookies, or preparing traditional winter sweets like gajak and til ke laddoo.
  3. Outdoor Sunshine: Spend some time in the winter sun! Morning walks, light exercises, or gardening can keep your body active and healthy.
  4. Creative Crafts: Try your hands at art and craft — make paper snowflakes, paint pots, or create your own greeting cards for the new year.
  5. Reflect and Reconnect: Talk to your grandparents, listen to their childhood winter stories, and learn from their experiences.
  6. Keep Learning Alive: Revise what you’ve learned so far in school through fun activities, puzzles, or simple practice sheets.

Looking Ahead

As the new year approaches, the Open Fields family wishes that this winter break brings warmth, health, and happiness to all our students and their families. If you found the information useful, please rate us 5 stars on Google Maps.
